Quotes

Winner: Mississippi State University
Interviewee: Emmanuel Mayers

Q: What was going through your mind during the baton drop by Texas A&M?
A: Tabarie Henry is a very good runner. I know I heard something, and I thought, "Okay, it’s gonna give me a little bit of room." Anytime a stick drops, you know if you slow down they could be right behind me. I just got out good and still try to run my race, do the best I can for my team and bring it home.

Q: Winning earlier today and closing the Penn Relays with the victory, how does it feel?
A: It just means a lot to us and our program. It shows that we are going in the right direction. We’re going home with three wheels, one in the 4x1. But, the 4x4 just meant a lot to me. Everybody around is training really hard and it’s great to see it pay off.
